Scalable strategies for a next-generation of FAIR bioimaging
The 18th installment of the Open Microscopy Environment (OME) Community Meeting, traditionally held in Europe, is coming to North America in April of 2025!
In a partnership with Allen Institute for Cell Science, BioImaging North America, German BioImaging (GerBI-GMB), HHMI Janelia Research Campus, The Jackson Laboratory, and the Open Microscopy Environment/University of Dundee, this 2.5-day meeting will be held at the Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole, USA, with a focus on scalable strategies for the next generation of FAIR bioimaging.

General Registration Opens: December 19, 2024
In-Person Registration Closes: March 17, 2025 (or once occupancy capacity is reached).
Note: 60 Single Occupancy Rooms are available at MBL and the maximum capacity of the venue is 75 participants. Registration may close earlier than listed above when capacity is reached.

NOTE: Limited financial support is available for early career participants in North America. Contact us at contact@bioimagingna.org before February 12, 2025 if you would like to be considered for this support. You may also indicate when you register that you are interested in this early career financial support, but please do not pay the registration fee at the end of the registration process – we are unable to reimburse you if you make payment before the outcome of your application for this support.
*In-person attendance limit will vary depending on room occupancy (single vs double) and whether participants elect not to stay in MBL accommodations. If you are not successful in securing MBL accommodation or would prefer to stay off-site, please refer to the MBL website for a list of options.
**Meals included – dinner on the arrival day (April 28), Breakfast, lunch, and dinner each full day, and breakfast and lunch on the departure day (May 1).
Parking at Woods Hole: A limited number of complimentary parking permits are available for this event and will be made available at Check-in on a first come first serve basis. There is daytime metered parking in Woods Hole. The Peter Pan and Plymouth & Brockton bus companies provide service to Woods Hole from Boston and Providence – see Travel below.

Nearby Major Airports
Logan International Airport in Boston is the largest airport near Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
The airport in Rhode Island (TFG International) is also an option.
Ground Transportation from Boston to MBL
Travel is available to Woods Hole from Logan international airport, as well as local cities through the Peter Pan Bus company and Plymouth & Brockton bus company. The Woods Hole bus terminal is a 0.4 mi/8 minute walk to the MBL.
