See Entries!Academic BINA members who are interested in sharing their love of microscopy with young scientists, in particular those from underrepresented groups, can request financial assistance to host an outreach event at their Institution. Event organizers will need to demonstrate that participants from traditionally underrepresented groups from any level (e.g. grade school, undergraduate, graduate) will be participating in the event, with a view to increasing diversity of future imaging scientists. Members can apply for up to $500 USD to help defray costs of the event. It is largely at the discretion of the organizers* as to how the funds may be utilized and organizers should present a case for alignment of their event goals with BINA’s mission and values.
Your efforts to support diversity and inclusion in your event planning will be considered in the evaluation process.
